Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
My boyfriend was the first to suggest that I cut it all off I always rocked a short cut then I would grow it out then summer I would cut the side and leave the top long. But one day I said I need my hair done. And he said let’s go to the barber you look beautiful bald lol. Like the women in Wakanda I pictured you in that movie as a warrior.
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I’m a spontaneous person and I got up and said F it and told my barber time for it to go. I felt crazy free.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
No not really I do have a little bump in the middle of my head I was self conscious about but I got over it.
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I made sure my scalp wasn’t dry and I knew I knew o didn’t want my barber touch my hairline I wanted everything to fall naturally.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
Couldn’t stop touch it omg it was amazing
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Ummm no it just made me feel lighter and free I was in unbothered I felt like a goddess
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
HELL NO LOL. I tell my clients that all the time I will never grow it back lol.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
No it helped bc I was in my true form take it or leave it. But I did have to correct ppl calling me amber rose bc I’m platinum. I’m Bianca thank you not amber rose. I did this bc it was in me to do this. Not a public figure influencing a audience. Love you muva but it was all for me
