How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
I just Recently became a full on Baldie but I have a sickness with scissors and cant keep them out my hand lol!
Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
Honestly no...as I said I have always had a problem with scissors in my hand so this was just a great opportunity for me to let someone go all the way.
What made you decide to cut your hair?
In the process of shedding things in your life, sometimes your hair has to go too!
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
The first time I was really worried about what I would look like and if anyone would like it, but I had nothing negative come my way but didn't embrace it the way that I should have, because it became necessary . By the second time around I couldn’t get enough of myself , it was just so wonderful to have low maintenance hair. So of course going bald this time was just a matter of time!
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
Oh I was too ready...it was just taking that final leap and now I cant look back!
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
SHE IS GOSH DARN GORGEOUS HAHA! Literally lol!
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
It was change for me because this time it was my choice...other times I've big chopped was because I had to from shedding or what not....and then I was testing the waters so cut it just enough to say I have a shaved head.....but when I left a bad relationship, lost my job and moved away from a very toxic and depressed life...I also let go of my hair completely and never felt better! Shedding comes in all forms and my hair was one and not the bad kind lol!
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?:
Maybe in the future I will start the process again, but my 30s really has me in a place of not having a desire for hair at alll lol and i sure many baldies can relate....its just such a freeing feeling. So maybe if I ever miss braids again ill try it but for now its Bald girl daily!
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
HELP! i have always been very self conscious of my hair for a long time because it always seemed no matter what I did to it i never was able to figure the best style for me. I always tried many things and liked some of them but never loved it..unless I had someone do it for me lol! Not to mention being a baldie forces me to love myself beyond my hair and that is the best part!
Do you regret your decision at all?:
NOT ONE BIT...BEST CHOICE I MADE!!!
