How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
Since September 26th

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
Every beautiful brown bald head women I came across walking the streets and on ig / social media inspired me, empowered me actually.

What made you decide to cut your hair?
I lost my grandmother who was a women who always always wanted me to do what makes me happy and to go through life the way I wanted, so I decided to do that and cut all my hair off :) And don’t get me wrong, weaves are great but I realized all the hair was hiding some of my lovely facial features.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I feared what my natural hair texture would look like

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
Lots of protectant hairstyles - box braids, rocking my natural hair for months at a time, cut dead ends, weaves and more box braids

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I got a lot of head and a lot of neck lmaoooo but you can see my complete face

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
It was definitely a new start for me, a lot of things in my life were changing that were out of my control so it definitely symbolized a new chapter in my life.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
For the next year I see myself keeping my hair cut and then slowly but surely I plan on growing out and rocking my natural hair

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
Helped my confidence all around. I believe now people are truly seeing me for me, every imperfection and perfection. It definitely freed me in some ways as well

Do you regret your decision at all?: Not a day or a second.
