How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
7 beautiful years and counting

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
My cousin inspired me 7 years ago, so for a while, I had a twa. Two years in, I told myself I wanted to go shorter, so one day I went to the barber shop and said, “I want a fade”, he asked me like 6 times was I sure, and I said “I’m absolutely sure”, and I been rocking my lowcut ever since then.

What made you decide to cut your hair?
I decided to cut my hair for me. At first, I thought I made a mistake, but as I embraced it, I started to feel this sense of freedom, like only I can judge my life and nobody else.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I had a fear of not being accepted.

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I prepared myself spiritually, emotionally, and physically (lol), but for real though, I prepared myself by being around my mom, who boost my head up from start to finish. Family is the best support system.

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
Lol, I thought I was hideous. I stayed in my room for a week, because I didn’t want to be seen, but I quickly got over it when I realized I need food, so I sucked it up before I died of starvation.

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
It symbolized a sense of freedom for me.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Nooooooooooo!!!

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
It boost my confidence on all levels. I can now do what I want without worrying about what someone would think.

Do you regret your decision at all?
The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner.
