How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?

December 31, 2016 (NYE)

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)

Here's where it elevates... The spirit guided me to my transformation of welcoming rebirth so the moment seemed completely impulsive.

What made you decide to cut your hair?

A few minutes before I grabbed the scissors, meditating and being presently appreciative for the closing of the year, my intuition told me it was time to let go of apart of me that was holding me back. I followed my intuition.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?

Cutting my hair was the most fearless thing I've done to date. No reservations, no second thoughts, it was time to get free.

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?

I asked my friend for a pair of scissors, changed my shirt, got in front of the mirror, and cut at the root of each faux loc.

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?

I fell in love with myself in a way that I had never known before. Confidence, love, and peace overflowed me and the few around me, they could see the glow that I was feeling, beaming.

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?

Cutting my hair symbolized growth, faith in my journey, and being unafraid of change.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?

It's a definite possibility but the goal for me is to do what is best and not what LOOKS best.

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?

Initially, my confidence grew immediately but upon returning home to my family and hometown, a lot of ridicule and aggression came my way and some of the misunderstanding influenced how I felt about my journey as far as growing my hair back. I spent time reflecting on what was most important to me and ignored everything else that wasn't aligned with my intentions... I'm back to feeling myself again or whatever.

Do you regret your decision at all?
