What made you decide to cut your hair?
I cut it because I wanted a fresh start, and I'm actually a dare devil at heart, I love being different and giving people things to talk about. Plus I had a pixie for a year and liked my over all head shape.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
Yes!! I come from a hair loving Dominican family. But since I had a pixie cut for a while they pretty much just said another cut? And got over it. My but I had a little hiccup convincing my boyfriend, he loves it so the world can suck it haha
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
It took me over a month, to figure out why u wanted this cut. I sleeked all the remaining hair I had on my head, and saw that I loved the symmetry. Then a week later I didn't look back!
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I keep scaring my self in the mirror realizing my hair is gone. I was sooo happy! I felt sooo bad ass like ha! I played you society, I made you my bitch and now you have to bow down in awe because I'm different,sexy , cool and you're not. So that's how I feel about that
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
A fresh start! A new beginning, a reason to right my wrongs, to look for solutions in life. A reason to fix what ever makes me sad, and to become a better me!
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Yes! I will continue to let my hair grow out and start new! This time I will remain natural no matter how people feel!
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?
It helped me soo much! I even posted a look without make up. Something I have never done before. I feel so beautiful. I haven't even worn makeup in 2 weeks . And to think cutting my hair did that!
Do you regret your decision at all?
ABSOLUTLEY NOT!
