What made you decide to cut your hair?
It was my 18th birthday and I didn't want to look like a little girl anymore with my little puff ball ponytail (that's what my mom called it. lol)
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I kind of thought that my head shape would be funny looking , that I would look like a "little boy" 😂
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I just looked up a barber like the night before I was going to go back to college , my hair wasn't styled and I was just frustrated and wondered how I'd look with close cut hair so I just went for it .
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I was surprised that I actually looked pretty, my mom was crying as the barber took off more and more hair . I just looked in the mirror like "wow" and snapped a selfie , instantly got a 100 likes within a few minutes and comments about how good I look .
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
It symbolized not having to pay $300+ for bundles anymore 😂
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Never , honestly , this is the most beautiful I have felt in my life.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?
Definitely helped my self confidence, now I'm more outspoken , I feel like I can conquer anything , I command everyone's attention when I walk into the room.
Do you regret your decision at all?
Not at all, this decision has made me stand out from the rest and helped me learn that "I am not my hair".
