How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?

since April 2017

What made you decide to cut your hair?

I've wanted a pixie cut since high school, but realized I wanted something even more low maintenance so bald was it. I was natural and my hair was so thick that wash day and twist outs took hours. I wasn't taking care of it properly so it stopped growing.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?

I could have a peanut head and have to wear a wig.

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut

I dressed really cute and put on a full face before the cut.

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?

I was so in love with myself. I could say I was beautiful and mean it.

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?

I was free and confident to choose what I want and live.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?

never.

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?

It changed my life. I stepped out of my comfort zone and took life changing chances. I traveled by myself, changed my major twice, started a blog, fell in love with my life.

Do you regret your decision at all?

never
