How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
I’ve been a baldie for a year and a half now. April it’ll be 2

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
Honestly my mom because she’s always changed her hair. My dad was never bothered by it and loved it. My mom showed me hair is hair nothing to take serious and my dad showed me men shouldn’t care about hair.

What made you decide to cut your hair?
I decided to cut my hair because I was in a transition and I felt like my hair held my old energy. I wanted to start a new and it was time.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
My fear was if I could pull it off and honey yes I can!

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
Preparing for it I kept talking it over with my aunt and grandmother. My grandmother had a female barber and she cut my hair off for me

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
First site was amazed, relieved, and happy I didn’t have anyone holding me back

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Cutting my hair symbolizes freedom from the beauty norms that society puts on women

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Honestly I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for braids for 3 months and I’m over it lol

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
It helped my self confidence. I was struggling trying to find my identity

Do you regret your decision at all?
