How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
1 year

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
I was inspired by my brother Ty Holly @tyholly

What made you decide to cut your hair?
I shaved my hair off in solidarity of my brother’s fight with stage 4 colon recital cancer. While we celebrate the 1 yr anniversary of his death, I choose to continue to outwardly express my stance against cancer.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I wasn’t sure what my head would look like or what others might say or think about me after shaving my head.

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I began slowly by shaving one side of my hair first. I researched other individuals who remain confident and feminine without hair.

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?:
As the barber began to shave my hair, I thought I was insane for doing it. Then I remembered my ‘why’ and there was no stopping me then.

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
It symbolized solidarity with those who loose their hair during strenuous chemotherapy. It symbolizes me standing in the gap while my brother fought the good fight. It now symbolizes purpose. My purpose.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
I do not plan on it anytime soon.

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
It has helped my self-confidence. In some ways...I feel stronger!

Do you regret your decision at all?
None at all!!!!
