How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
I love the way you guys word this. I've been a self-proclaimed baldie for about 3-4 years now. It's been the best experience ever.
Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible):
No one really inspired me to cut my hair. My crazy imagination and my knack for artistry influenced my haircut.
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I remember being really bored with long hair at the time. My crazy imagination and my knack for artistry influenced my haircut.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
At the time, the world's reaction. Now I dont care.
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I started with the " cassie " half shaved cut first and me being a risk taker I was like okay let's just see what would happen if I cut the rest. Worse case I can grow it all back in a year.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
My initial reaction to seeing myself with short hair was good at first. Although I will admit I was shy to let the rest of the world see me with a short cut.
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?:
Cutting my hair symbolized growth, confidence mainly self acceptance. Being a baldie is not just a hairstyle, its a statement. It says I accept and love myself for who I really am and although I am not perfect, I'm comfortable and happy in my own skin. Its about inspiring others to enjoy who they really are.
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
I tried so many times. I think this is probably one of the best hairstyles I've had over the years. It's hard to let it go honestly.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
Cutting my hair has definitely helped my confidence. It allows me to be who I really am and love my self for it.
Do you regret your decision at all?
No regrets. I regret not cutting it sooner.
