How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
Will be 3 years on November 3
Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
I had a screenshot of this blonde bombshell and I would say I am going to cut my hair just like that,.... 3 years later finally worked up the courage and went to get it cut off he gave me a 3 ( baldies know what I’m talking about) Two days later I went for him to cut ALL off.
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I was going through a rough patch I ended a relationship, started losing weight and I still did not feel like myself it was like I had weights on my shoulder holding me down for progressing further.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I thought I was gonna be ugly and look like a baby dyke (I wanted to come out the closet)
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
There was no preparation I woke up in the morning on Nov 3 and asked my mom how does she think the hair style would look she actually told me to wait a little longer before getting it done. I couldn’t wait any longer in my head I knew it was now or never. I called over 30 salons looking for someone to cut and dye it 613 i could not find anyone with a reasonable price so i got discouraged but then i just thought if cutting it off and color later so I picked my brother up from school and drove to the barbershop; there was no turning back at that point.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?:
I loved it I did not like the barber lol. He thought he knew best and did not make me as bald head as I wanted to be so I was upset I had to pay the SAME barber two days later to make me bald bald lol.
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Cutting my hair showed me I don’t need hair to be beautiful. I fell in love with myself on a level like never before I will stare at my self and my confidence level is so high now no one can ever tell me I am not Bald head and beautiful.
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
I can NEVER I think Ima be bald head for life I can only do 3-4 months of new growth before I get hives and have to cut it back off because I can’t do it. Hair is TOO hot to have in Florida and who feels like trying to make sure they lace stay laid I don’t have the patience and I honestly don’t care. I have worn hair 10 times in ghe last 2 years 6 of those times were snatched off 30 minutes later lol.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
It helped it. Like Trina say I’m da baddest I love my bald head it’s something about a fresh cut that makes me
