How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
8 years.

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
No one inspired me. As a woman, I just don't like hair.

What made you decide to cut your hair?
I needed something "freeing", that allowed me to be exactly who I am constantly no matter where I was or who I was with. I found a lot of self respect and confidence in being the girl with no hair.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
That children would think I was a boy. I quickly got over it. Children are raised with certain norms that now aren't AS true as once told. I embraced that fully now.

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I actually remember this very well, I got clean (shampooing and conditioning my hair), through on some clothes and went to this shop where of course it was all men but half the shop was a salon. When I got there they thought I was coming to get fried and dyed but instead I asked for a bald fade. All the guys were like "na.. I don't touch women hair" except one barber who was like, "you ready?" and I quickly just was like THANK YOU ABOUT TIME. Aha, the haircut was wack but I was excited.

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I knew I was gone kill em' when I got to school the next day/ Im 25 now and my hair has been cut for 8y so you can do the math. During my senior year I was rarely present because I was working, doing college courses, and track. When everyone seen me all they could do was say "King P" and some said it as an insult but I held onto it and never let it go.

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
I stepped into womanhood like a boss. Call it cocky but truly knowing what's for you can come as soon as you like for it to when you do the things that you think aren't for you. They'll get you there and not having hair reminds me of that. How? Because, it's not easy being a woman with no hair but it what makes you stand out and forces you to either wither when folks speak to you in a derogatory way or be a woman who can throw pearls as bullets and be just as soft.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
I do occasionally but i also end up at the barbershop.

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
In a way. More so, because I just wanted to be happy with me. Who I am. Don't give a damn about those others do or say.

Do you regret your decision at all?
If you read this.. you know for sure I don't
