How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
6 years
Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
Myself lol
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I wanted a new beginning, a new start and I felt that cutting my hair would be getting rid of all the hurt and bs i've been through. I'd be starting a new happy beginning and it's been working.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
Not being beautiful. I feared that people would laugh and make fun of me and no one would want me but after I had a talk with my mom and myself about it I realized I don't want anyone to want me and idc if people talk about me. It's all about what I like and how it makes me feel.
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I didn't actually lol. I just walked into the barbershop and said "cut it" with a big smile on my face.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I smiled sooooo big!!! I saw how beautiful I was, I could feel the breeze on my scalp lol, I just felt so brand new and free.
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Never to be afraid to do anything because you're afraid of what people will think. It showed me I can do anything I put my mind up to and it really boosted up my confidence.
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
No, at first I did bc I was starting to get a little insecure, you know seeing girls with the big beautiful curly bushes and everyone screaming at me to grow my hair back. Short hair completes me and makes me feel like.... me
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
It helped it a lot
Do you regret your decision at all?
No! not at all i'm so glad I made this decision. I even got my mom to go bald
