How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
Only a few months , I think three
Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
The baldie community on instagram is so beautiful and empowering, but Amber Rose probably inspired me the most
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I wanted to challenge other people's, and even my own idea of beauty and what makes a woman beautiful. It definitely isn't hair!
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I was a little bit scared of other people's criticism, and any difficulty with looking feminine.
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
The day I cut it was very spontaneous, but beforehand I made a photo album full of baldies that empower me in case I ever need reassurance.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
Definitely some shock, but I was absolutely in love from the second I saw it.
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Liberation, caring about making myself happy, and not feeling pressured to fulfill beauty standards.
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Nope! I'm absolutely in love with being a baldie and the community that comes with it.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?
I have never been more confident in my life!
Do you regret your decision at all?
Not at all! I'm so happy being bald.
