Baldies: Nastassja

(My haircut) was the boost I needed in life and the platform I needed to stand on.

What is your name?: Nastassja
social media: Instagram: @nuhstaseeyuh / Twitter: @___amorous

How long have you been a self-proclaimed baldie?
A year and two months

Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
 @janaikirsten and Alissa Ashley

What made you decide to cut your hair?
It was more of persona conviction. I told myself I needed to do something that gave me a reason to alter my life completely. I had a terrible 2017 and let go of a lot and I decided to let go of my hair. Best decision I’ve ever made.

What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I thought I was going to miss my hair. I also thought my head was going to look big but my head looks big with or without hair.

How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I really didn’t prepare, I just went in for a cut and left bald.

What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I was ecstatic. I literally fell in love with myself.

Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Cutting my hair symbolized freedom and true, natural beauty. Freedom of expression, liberation and beauty are big deals for me and cutting my hair literally meant all three in one.

Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Nope.

Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self-confidence?
I already knew I was a pretty confident person but when I cut my hair, no one couldn’t tell me anything. It was the boost I needed in life and the platform I needed to stand on.

Do you regret your decision at all?: Nope. Why would I regret something so beautiful.
