What made you decide to cut your hair?
I decided to cut my hair because, my hair does not define me. I am not my hair. When people see me I want them to see and feel my aura rather than them seeing the things I am wearing or what hairstyle I have. You cannot hide behind a cut, and that was my main purpose.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I had no fears, I was very confident in my decision.
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I actually did not prepare at all, I woke up one morning and decided that day was the day I'd be cutting it.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
When I saw myself in the mirror I could not stop smiling.. I was so happy and comfortable and free.
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
Cutting my hair symbolizes my true character.. not everyone is willing to make that choice either because they are so attached to it, or simply because of society's beauty standards.
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
I do not plan on growing it back out anytime soon.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?
Cutting my hair boosted my self confidence tremendously.
Do you regret your decision at all?
I do not regret my decision.
