Did anyone inspire you to cut your hair? (include @ name if possible)
@lineisymontero inspired me to cut it super short along with @amberrose. I always was influenced by Amber Rose, but Montero made me believe that I didn't have to look like every girl on instagram to do it.
What made you decide to cut your hair?
I actually accidently gave myself a bald spot when cutting my own hair for the first time. So I just said forget it and cut it all off. It was short before after being inspired by my role models, but it was then that I decided to cut it near bald.
What reservations/fears did you have about cutting your hair?
I was so scared that I would look ugly and that no boys would find me pretty. I always thought long hair made me pretty, but all the love I received from my peers really made my self confidence soar.
How did you prepare yourself for your hair cut?
I didn't. It was really an accident/spur of the moment kind of thing.
What was your initial reaction to seeing yourself with short hair?
I hated it. I thought it was the worst haircut, but then I warmed to it once I got my friends opinions.
Did cutting your hair symbolize anything to you?
It symbolizes freeing myself from beauty standards, my fears, and my transgressions.
Do you plan on ever growing your hair back out?
Nope, never.
Did cutting your hair hurt or help your self confidence?
It helped me so much. I found myself through modeling because of it and the people my haircut brought into my life.
Do you regret your decision at all?
No, not at all.
